Your chances of becoming a successful entrepreneur can be dashed by a whole series of self-limiting beliefs. Understanding and dealing with what’s holding you back in your entrepreneurial journey is key to paving the way to the level of success you want and deserve.

But this may be easier said than done.

We’re programmed with many of our self-limiting beliefs at a young age, and breaking this insidious cycle is one of the biggest challenges we face, not just as entrepreneurs, but in our lives as a whole!

It doesn’t help that we get so used to accepting our self-imposed limitations we can’t see them for what they are – an enforced self-perception and nothing more. Unfortunately, it’s a self-perception that family members, peers, teachers, and even complete strangers are all too happy to enforce.

In short, you need to break the cycle, and the first step in doing this is to recognize our self-limiting beliefs for what they are – and deal with them.

Here are 7 typical self-limiting beliefs I researched online (and how to deal with them):

1.      Your self-doubt is limiting your ability to take action.

The most successful people tend to overestimate their abilities at first.

However, studies have shown that these same people eventually grow to meet their expectations. Have the courage to believe that you’re capable. You’ll ultimately prove yourself correct.
